Truth matters, not how people feel about it. God’s truth is still true no matter how it makes us feel. If we say that we love God, but then we don’t love his truth, we are living contradictions. To love untruth is to be deceived and hell-bound. To love God and his truth is to adore his Word, his Son, his salvation, his doctrine and teachings, and his mind. To hate truth is to abhor God and his omniscient splendor. One truth revealed throughout Scripture is that God’s passion is for his glory. If this is truth, then it must be delighted in and enjoyed. A not-so-obvious consequence is that God is glorified by punishing sinners in hell for eternity. He is magnified and rejoiced in for the execution of his holy wrath and justice. The truth is that God is glorified by the doctrine of hell. In an effort to make God more popular and appealing to goats, many have done away with hell. This robs God of his glory, leaves justice unsatisfied, makes a mockery of Calvary, humanizes God’s holiness, and sets an idol on the throne of the universe. In a word, it seeks to un-god God. Again, God’s truth is true no matter how we feel about it. Mankind appalling it, being embarrassed by it, despising it, and dismissing it, does not change it. God’s truth is eternal and unchanging just like him
